Part Time 04:17
I’m learning new habits I’m changing the locks I’m getting a puppy To go for a walk I’m changing my number I’m changing my sign My new, my new life It’s sort of a story That I’m making up I sort of believe it But not very much I’m working on changing I’m working part time My new, my new life I know that I can get by if I try Part time I know that I can get by if I try Part time I, I open my eyes part time You’ll never believe it And neither would I But I stopped responding To texts from some guy I’m drinking more water I’m going outside My new, my new life I know that I can get by if I try Part time I know that I can get by if I try Part time I, I open my eyes part time

about

On Oceanator’s new single “Part Time,” songwriter Elise Okusami showcases her exceptional pop sensibilities, delivering a catchy rock anthem with a wealth of melodic depth and lively energy. Co-written with Cheekface’s Greg Katz and mixed by Alex Newport (Death Cab For Cutie, Bloc Party), the song glides with bouncy piano and chunky guitar riffs that harken back to early 60’s rock n’ roll.

Oceanator’s music has been praised in outlets such as Stereogum, Pitchfork, NPR and SPIN, who described Okusami as having “the kind of voice that can silence a room.” The band has shared the stage with the likes of Jeff Rosenstock, Laura Jane Grace, PUP, and others with a notable touring history across North America and Europe.
